Me=slacker

How can it be, it's been a almost a month since my last entry. The lack of snow has been so depressing I haven't been able make myself do...anything. Well, that isn't entirely true but it has severely hurt my moral. Today on the other hand boosted me out of the dumps and into heaven. I just returned from Baltimore yesterday and came home to find Tyler had purchased a new sled. Not brand spanking new, but new to him and if I may say so, a damn good sled. 07' Ski Doo, Rev 800. We obviously had to go out today and break her in. After pulling up to Gaurdsman parking lot, we topped her off with oil, filled the gas tank, a couple pulls on the draw cord and the son of a *I$ch smoked us out. Not paying much mind to it we rolled out. Tyler's sled bogged all day unless on a groomed trail and got me so high off fumes just trailing behind him, I don't know how he rode it. Gettin' er boondockin' bogged er down almost immediately. We still got some good shots though...

Locked and Loaded

Who said there are rocks?

Why doesn't the display screen just tell you what's wrong with your sled? It's kind of maddening. You have to look up all these codes that flash on the screen and for those of us with short term memory loss can't remember all the damn codes.

My sled's running tip top!

More one hand action. REV XP Love that machine, too bad it's not a hybrid.

I made it to Hawaii after months of hoping, wishing and praying to make some time to surf. Its amazing how catching a couple of waves can ease the mind. This morning we decided to go out on a limb and check if honolua(arguably the best wave on Maui) was breaking. We heard rumors that it was really good yesterday when the swell was at it's peak. We figured it wouldn't be as good but still decent. It was really small and there were plenty of people out so we came all the way back to the north shore to find the wind blasting off shore and really unpredictable waves all over. Hopefully the wind will die down and Ty and I can get some turns in. shoots cuz

wow

I haven't blogged in a while due to lack of content but I think this deseves a bit of action. The limits are constantly pushed. This doesn't look real. I had to watch it 5 times for my senses to tell me that this is possible...is it? 260ft ladies and gentlemen. If you need a break from doing whatever it is you to there is plenty to entertain you on this site...

first pow day of the year oct. 21

Oct 21st. was the first powder day of the year and quite possibly my very earliest powder day ever. When my roomate Dave and I pulled into the parking lot, arriving around 11:30, the parking lot was about 2/3 of the way full. Seeing all those people so eager to get turns made me think of all those people/analysts that say the ski inustry is dying. Alta got schralped yesterday. Check it out:

Some kids built a jump and were sessioning complete with a filmer and photographer. cork 7. stomped.

The last couple of days

Good Afternoon! It's been almost 48 hours since I last caught some ow so necessary sleep. I went to a K2 photoshoot in Newburgh, NY, which blew my socks off. I can't disclose the events of the trip, other then I was booked on a flight that's pattern stop sequence felt familiar to a trip that generally goes overseas. After two days of utterly action packed days, I traveled to Boreal Ski Resort in Tahoe/Donner Pass to be present at a film premiere of IDEA and watch some people demolish themselves fighting for fame at a rail jam held at the mountain. There were some hilarious moments of which I should have documented. Rory and I, ended up feeling like complete jerks. Visual imagery would be best for this story but my words will have to suffice. After walking through some slush puddles and watching a couple people, oblivious to where they were planting their feet, sink to their shoe tops with an utterly shocked and stupified look on their face, we decided to amuse ourselves a bit. There were 5 of us in the scheme standing in such a way that funneled people into the trap. After a couple people fell through we would cover the tracks so the pathway looked relatively safe, sometimes, if they were cute or someone we knew we would warn them of the inherent danger. It blew back in our faces when I spotted a couple of people I hadn't seen in some time, Brie and Willie. When I made eye contact with Brie and weshe recognaized me, she came at me. Before i could blurt out, Hold O....N...she had already sunk to ankles. She pulled out, one shoe caught, suctioned into the puddle, the other soaked. After retrieving the shoe and sliding it on, water seaped out of the top. They soon retreated to the bonfire to warm their frozen toes. Ooops...sorry. Anyway, now im in the Reno airport waiting for my flight out and it's ready to board. I will post some pics of some of my travels this summer shortly... oh and my quiet suburban house might have been burgled last night... scary... nothing has yet to be reported stolen, just sounds of an intruder. later on

First Blog, First Snow of the Year

It snowed three times already this year in Utah and is pounding in the North West. I wish I could proclaim this season to be one that brings us obscene amounts of snow, but know from experience that false alarms are the norm. Now I'm just going to post some pictures of sights I've witnessed in the last week or so. I drove out to Oregon,

Went surfing with Pollard in 55 degree water and froze some brain cells...I don't think they've revived themselves. Here is the magnificent Oregon Coast.

This tree made me feel young and vibrant. Respect the old.

This shot was taken on the day of the first snow in Utah. How this happened I couldn't tell ya. It baffles me everytime I look at it. The pavement was wet not icy. The news was littered with accidents on this day.

SNOW SHOWERS!!! I didn't take a bath in the morning so I had to go...

I wish I had this ride

I got my hood detailed to look like the sky

Last but not least, one of the greatest contraptions ever made.
